3 cities to visit in Saudi Arabia

Now that tourists are able to freely visit the kingdom, you will necessarily need this short guide to the cities to visit when you visit.
Riyadh
As the largest city in Saudi Arabia with more than 6.5 million inhabitants, the Saudi capital is inevitably a must. Between the architecture, the shopping, and the visits to historical sites, the city offers opportunities for all types of travelers. We visit the Kingdom Center, both to be captivated by the overwhelming 311m height of the building, but also to enjoy the view of the 99th floor, sublimated by the sunset. Luxury shoppers will inevitably find their pleasure in the shopping center it houses. For those who are fond of culture, opt for a visit to Fort Masmak, located in the city’s historic center, and its museum, which houses an exhibition of weapons, ancient costumes, and agricultural artifacts.

Jeddah
By all accounts, the city on the Red Sea is the crown jewel of Saudi Arabia. Characterized by its light atmosphere, and the open-mindedness of its inhabitants, the city is full of assets. Ideally located, it is a delight for beach lovers, and even divers, since the coral reefs are vast and magnificent. Its historic center, Al-Balad, is a true emblem of the city, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is so old that it is possible to trace the entire local history of the region. Other architectural treasures to visit in the city include the Nasseef House Museum, built in 1881, and the floating mosque, also known as the Al Rahma Mosque. The latter is one of the most popular attractions in the city of Jeddah. It welcomes millions of visitors every year (the mosques of Jeddah have only recently opened to tourists).
Dammam
Located in the east of the country, only a few miles from the neighboring kingdom of Bahrain, the metropolitan area of Dammam, which also includes Al Khobar and Dhahran, has a population of about 2 million. Here again, beach and diving enthusiasts will easily find something to do. Many outdoor activities are also available: mountain biking, paragliding, boating (with a possibility to visit Marjan Island, very popular for its greenery), diving, horse riding… Many shopping centers will delight serial shoppers, and art, culture or history enthusiasts are expected in the historic center, or at the Ithra Museum where they can discover all kinds of exhibitions, workshops and a library, each richer than the next.
