Marwan Kenzari (Jafar in Aladdin) will star in a sci-fi thriller with Tessa Thompson

Currently in pre-production, Balestra tells the story of a disgraced competitive fencer named Joanna Batory (played by Tessa Thompson). Eager to make her return to the Olympics, she began using a prototype device that allowed her to extend her training into her sleep hours, allowing her to have lucid dreams. The plot thickens as she meets the character of Elliot (played by Marwan Kenzari) in her dreams.
