Jordanian Princess becomes first female pilot on fixed-wing aircraft in the Country
Congratulations are certainly in order for Jordanian Princess Salma bin Abdullah, who has just become the country’s first female pilot, after training at the prestigious British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
This is a first for Jordanian women. Princess Salma, the third child of the current King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, has just become the first woman in the kingdom to complete her pilot training.
The announcement took place at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, and was tweeted by the Royal Hashemite Court.

This training comes after she graduated from the same school, where her father and brother taught before her. A good example of gender equality in academic orientation and career choices. That said, it is not yet known what profession the Princess will pursue.
