Saudi anime The Journey is on streaming platform Crunchyroll!
The global streaming platform specialising in anime has been hosting The Journey since 2 September.
The Journey is a Saudi-Japanese animated film and is a collaboration between Riyadh-based Manga Productions and Tokyo-based Toei Studios.
Kobun Shizuno to direct
The film, released in 2021, is based on an event in the history of Islam. It tells the story of a potter named Aus who engages in a battle to defend his hometown, Mecca.
The Journey is directed by Kobun Shizuno, who also directed the Detective Conan saga.
