When to go to Jordan, Petra and Wadi Rum

Desert, one of the saltiest seas in the world, and a city with a history stretching back thousands of years-Jordan has something for everyone. Ready to visit it? To do so, however, we suggest you read on to find out when is the best time to go to Jordan.
Red Sea and Dead Sea, the Wadi Rum Desert and Petra are just some of the great tourist attractions in Jordan. Jordan is a land of many faces, a destination to consider even if only for a long weekend, although it deserves more days of discovery.
Petra, the Nabataean capital dating back to around 300 B.C., is definitely a major attraction followed by the discovery of the Wadi Rum desert and how can you not think of a swim (or better said “float”) in the Dead Sea.
If, on the other hand, your destination wants to relax by the sea, there is the Red Sea coast at your disposal and the city of Aqaba.

When is it best to go to Jordan?
We can say that mid-seasons are preferred, but let’s look in detail at the climate and the best time to go to Jordan.
Jordan’s climate
The Jordan Valley (Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Aqaba) is characterized by mild winters and scorching summers, so half seasons are definitely preferred for visiting.
If, on the other hand, we move to the Red Sea coast in Aqaba or the Dead Sea, temperatures are quite stable, so it is possible to bathe almost all year round.

On balance, the period from March to May and September to November, then spring (not late) and fall are the best time to visit Jordan.
If, on the other hand, you are considering exclusively a beach vacation, the shores of the Red Sea are also great in winter; summer, however, is very hot.

What to pack for Jordan
Light clothes, but also a light sweatshirt and a raincoat or umbrella. Most importantly, remember your valid passport for the duration of the trip and medical insurance.
